Rock The Heirloom 2021/2022
strategic storytelling | tone of voice | copywriting | copyediting
Antiques and vintage homewares dealer Amy Eld, founder of Rock The Heirloom, is a dream client through and through: creative, unique and utterly passionate about her business!
She was rebranding the antiques and vintage homewares business she used to run with a friend into her own brand and online shop, and needed help pinning down what she wanted to express and how to express it. She wanted some new web copy that would fit her own personal style and story. Rock the Heirloom’s USP is that it blends Amy’s sourcing and styling skills, which are available via her online shop or her Surrey showroom. She didn't feel as confident as she would have liked writing copy for her new website and newsletter and wanted guidance and reassurance through the process.
I provided Amy with a brand messaging questionnaire, asking her everything from what set her business apart from the rest to how her dream clients spoke to her own personal story that led her to setting up Rock The Heirloom. Working very collaboratively and sharing ideas – which is why I love working with people one on one! – we zhuzhed up Amy's home, about and FAQs pages to ensure her story resonated with her clients. Using these details, I used strategic storytelling to weave together the benefits of RTH and put them into clear, compelling web copy that would resonate with Amy’s dream clients.
Now Amy says: 'You have managed to help me strengthen my new brand, gain brand consistency and clearly communicate what I am trying to say in the right tone.'
It’s not just writing skills that I offer – I'm intuitive, compassionate and flexible, which I know business owners, who are also parents or carers, appreciate.
'I like the fact that you just "get it", and also that you understand the time constraints of a busy family life. Your flexibility really helps make a pleasant experience. You are also great value for money and affordable to small businesses like myself.'
